Job Opportunity:
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Development Team Technical Lead working out of our Boston, MA office. We are looking for a thorough, detail-oriented individual with creative problem-solving skills to work with and lead our development team working on some very complex projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of resources, providing major enhancements and bringing new products online with our Duck Creek Claims implementation
- Work with Management Team on new projects and various ongoing while managing stakeholder expectations
- Drive analysis/design, development, testing and release planning processes for major releases
- Take a hands-on role in documenting issues and reporting status
- Use existing processes to track defects and work with appropriate resources to resolve
- Actively engage with our vendor partners to triage and resolve product defects
- Responsible for Claims production release management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience prioritizing technical enhancements and cross-system projects
- 4-6 years experience leading technical teams
- Financial services or Insurance experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter able to lead a large team
- Preferred BS/BA degree in a technical discipline
- Willingness to work with international team members outside normal business hours
- Knowledge of Duck Creek or other similar platform a plus
